I guess you haven’t noticed that Apple Maps are as great as Google Maps. It is a web mapping service developed by Apple Inc. Its operating systems are iOS 6, iPadOS13, watchOS and macOS. This map provides directions and estimated times of arrival for pedestrian, automobile and public transportation navigation.
On September 19, 2012, till date, Apple released its mapping service in iOS, watchOS, and mac. At first, it got a lot of criticism from users and newspapers for incorrect direction and other errors. Although further software development has addressed many of that criticism.

Flyovers and 3D maps
The flyover enables you to see certain locations; mainly big cities and landmarks can be seen from a birds-eye perspective. This feature also enables you to see three-dimensional models of structures in the map view. The models can also be seen when using turn-by-turn navigation.

Nearby
This feature shows icons of different categories like”food” and “transportation” in the search menu. After you must have clicked on each icon, the nearby points of interest in that category will show with their names, distances, and reviews on Yelp. Also, pins appear on the location of these places on the map. Nearby can also activate turn-by-turn navigation. As of September 16, 2015, when iOS 9 was launched, the function was only available in China and the United States. But was expanded to include Australia, Canada, Germany, and France ending October 2015. Also in 2016, Nearby was added to Australia, Denmark, Finland, Japan, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Transit
Transit shows the public transport networks on the map in a number of cities and their surroundings. This mapping service also includes public transit schedules. And it shows the location of the entries and exits of the subway and train stations.
