On February 24, 2019, the LG G8 was announced at the MWC. With that, there were high chances that the LG G8 will be released at the MWC 2020 which will be held from February 24 – 27. Since its a big deal from LG, it may be announced before the MWC officially kicks off.
However, it is just a guess for now, as we haven’t gotten release date rumors yet for the release of LG G9. But from the look of things before mid-2020, it is expected to be announced. The LG G9 is expected to have a quad-lens camera on the back (that is adding to the three lenses on the LG G8 phone). It should also come with a smaller notch holding a single-lens selfie camera, and seemingly slimmer bezels.
The screen should be about 6.7 and 6.0 inches, which is hugely different from the LG G8 6.1 inch. The G9 is expected to have an in-screen fingerprint scanner that has a dimension of about 169.4 x 77.6 x 8.8mm (which will rise at the camera bump to about 9.4mm).
The LG ThinQ is expected to come with a 3.5mm headphone port, and for it to have a great processor chip, that is the LG G9 ThinQ should come with Snapdragon 865 chipset.
