This is available for the course study of humanities and social sciences. It is for both permanent residents and international students.
Up to $20,000 CAD is awarded to students seeking to study their Ph.D. Out of the 100% reserved spot, 25% is reserved for international students. Scholarship students also get an opportunity to join the scholar community.

The University of Manitoba offers a scholarship program to its master’s and doctorate students. These scholarships can be as high as up to $14,000 CAD. Each student has an equal chance of applying and can re-apply if he/she doesn’t get the spot.
Students studying medical programs and MBA’s are not eligible to apply for the program. Students are eligible to apply yearly for the scholarship.
If a student gets the scholarship for two consecutive years, that is a total of $28,000 CAD. These scholarships are renewable for up to four years.

The University of Waterloo is partnering with the Excellence Scholarship program awarding scholarships to Masters Students who have taken up research-based master’s programs.
Candidates would be assessed based on their complete profiles and statements. Scholarship Awards are up to $2500 CAD per semester and it is renewable for up to 5 years making it a total of $25,000 CAD.
To apply for this scholarship, you don’t need to submit an application as all students would be considered for the scholarship at the point of registration.

The University of Calgary offers scholarships for both its undergraduate and master’s program. The entrance at the undergraduate level is open for international students.
Applicants are assessed based on their past academic performance and non-academic performance. Scholarship awards are up to $15,000 CAD per year, making it a total of $60,000 CAD for the total worth of the scholarship per student.
Each student is required to maintain a minimum of 2.6 GPA to retain their scholarship each year.

The Canadian Vanier Scholarship is organized for both Doctorate and Combined Master’s students. A combined master’s program means a program leading straight to Ph.D.
The subjects must be humanities, health sciences, natural sciences, and engineering.
This Scholarship is a very generous but competitive scholarship. It awards a whooping amount of up to $50,000 per year to each student.
